Goals from Mitchell and Sidhu get Wanderers back to winning ways...

Club Establishment

The Club was formed in 1994 by Vipon Mair, Tejinder Narang and Chan Dissanayake. The Club kicked off Season 1994/95 in The Hounslow & District League Division 3 (The Lowest Division at the time) with an inexperienced and unproven team.

The first season, under the Management of Paul Harrison Snr, saw the team finish bottom of the League having conceded 198 goals.

The second Season 1995/96 (In the new Division 4) saw a slight up turn in performances but with 6 games remaining the Club decided to part company with its Manager. The Club Secretary of the time (Vip Mair) was placed in charge of managing the team until the end of the season.

During the run up to Season 1996/97 Vip Mair was given the task of managing the Team. During this period the Club saw many changes including the way the players trained and their way of thinking towards playing the game. The Club also welcomed some new faces into the squad. Results began to change and the team began to enjoy some success. The Club completed Season 1996/97 as Division 4 Runners Up.

Season 1997/98 saw the team win Division 3 unbeaten and were promoted into Division 1 due to a change in the League structure.

The growth of the team base meant that a second team was introduced for Season 1998/99. Season 1998/99 saw the first team finish Runners Up in Division 1 and thus meant promotion from the bottom Division to the top Division in consecutive seasons which included a 23 month unbeaten run in league games. The second team had a creditable first season finishing mid table in Division 3.

Season 1999/00 saw the first team progress through the Hounslow & District League Premier Division and finish 4th in a very competitive division. The second team didn't do as well as the previous season and with mutual consent decided we decided to part company, as our objectives were not the same.

The Club decided joined The West Middlesex Combination Premier Division for season 2000/01. Under a new management structure the Club had its most successful season to date. Premier Division Champions (losing only 1 game) and Cup Winners meant a League & Cup Double and entry into The Middlesex County League Senior Division.

Having spent 8 years in Middlesex County Division One and rebuilding a new team The Purple Haze won promotion to the County Premier League in the 2008/09 season.

To help the Club to go forward Hounslow Town FC agreed to re-badge themselves as Hounslow Wanderers Reserves and have helped to enhance the membership of the Club. The Club now encourages participation from all the diverse communities within the area and its current squad reflects this.
